Dartford Composites are pleased to announce the completion of a major investment initiative to improve both capacity and quality whilst reducing the company carbon footprint.
We have invested £100,000 in two 8m x 4m energy efficient spray booths with a dedicated mixing room. These booths are fitted with the latest state of the art features including LED lighting, modulating gas burners and full inverter packs.
Dartford Composites Ltd is a well-established composites specialist company working primarily in the rail sector supplying a wide range of products and services from manufacturing new items, reverse engineering obsolete components to refurbishment projects and on-site damage repairs. Dartford Composites offers a complete one-stop shop for all your composite and specialist rail requirement needs.
This investment will enable us to increase our capacity and reduce our carbon footprint. Managing Director Mark Silvester stated “The senior management team decided in early October that investing in replacing our outdated booths was a viable option and everyone has worked hard to ensure this project was delivered in a prompt manner that protected current production throughout. The new spray booths, supplied by Firat in Turkey, are a real game changer in terms of quality and capacity. They are fully compliant with the latest Health and Safety legislation and engineers from Turkey can access them remotely to monitor any faults.”
Dartford Composites Ltd were delighted to have been selected as a finalist in the “Made In Bexley” category of the Bexley Business Excellence Awards 2017.
Managing Director Mark Silvester commented “I am extremely proud of the amazing team at Dartford Composites Ltd. for all the hard work and commitment they have shown to get us this far. To reach the final 5 from an initial 80 entrants shows that Dartford Composites Ltd. is a company that cares about its customers, staff and the products it provides”.
Recently Dartford Composites has been involved in Project 21 for Virgin East Coast, Croydon Tram interior refresh program and supplying seat shells to C2C. Sadly, we didn’t win the award this year but we intend trying even harder in 2018
